In loving memory of our beloved Gail Ann Fiorelli

Gail Fiorelli of Danbury, CT, daughter of Larry and Lucy Checco, died on October 17, 2025; she was 74. Gail was born on January 23, 1951 in Port Chester, NY. She is remembered lovingly by her husband, Roland Fiorelli, brother Larry Checco, children Michael and Lawrence Fiorelli, and many relatives and friends.

Gail was a graduate of Port Chester High School, attended SUNY Oswego, and earned her Master's degree in teaching at the College of New Rochelle. She had a colorful, varied career as an elementary teacher, assistant dean, hospital adminitrator, senior copywriter, and marketing associate. Gail and her husband, Roland, were married on July 2, 1983, a memorably sultry day. Gail loved seeing new places, studying abroad in Pisa, Italy; she had a particular love for the American West and the red rocks of the Arizona desert, where the Fiorellis traveled as a family. The wonders of our world filled her with joy and awe.

Throughout every chapter of her life, Gail collected dear friends, many of whom became like family. Her loving kindness touched many people. Gail adored working with children, and she ended her career taking care of babies at the Country Children's Center, where her own two children had attended. Gail's spirit was strong, and she stayed present with us for many years through the cognitive changes of Alzheimer's disease.

Gail's family thanks her caregivers, Joan and Danielli, and Ruth of Honeybee Homecare, as well as the staff at Ridgefield Station Memory Care and Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, for the compassionate care they provided.

Gail is buried in the natural burial ground at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, CT, overlooking the pond. Donations may be made to help fund a memorial bench in Gail's honor: https://gofund.me/f230aee58
